Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I think I've been to Il Poggio 6 times over the years? Maybe? Consistently excellent Italian/Contemporary American food....with an excellent bar. Great daily specials. Usually nice service. Sometimes a bit difficult to get into without a reservation or if you come early or late. I take off one star because a friend and I walked in to make a reservation and they acted like they had never had that happen before. They were kinda off putting. We both walked out of there saying "what was that about?". Anyway....I still love the place and will go back for sure.

Veal gnocchi and ahi tuna app is a must! Call for reservations, excellent service. Great location in snowmass village

Friendly staff, fun atmosphere, excellent food and delicious gelato. In fact, we had dinner and dessert one evening and returned the following evening just for dessert because we couldn't get enough of the gelato. We ordered the veal gnocchi, braised short rib and a margherita pizza for dinner. Everything was melt in your mouth delicious. There are two dining areas, the back room which is more formal (clothed tables) and the front which is more casual (awesome bar, music, lights and energy). I sat in the formal room for dinner and the following evening, in the casual room and regretted not sitting in the casual room for dinner the night before. Highly recommend this place for singles, couples and families.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary. The food and service were great. I would recommend a reservation to get a table in back.
(5)Isaac C.
I went here twice during my stay in Snowmass Village and both the food and atmosphere were excellent both times. Be sure to make a reservation a day in advance if possible. At a minimum, call right at 3pm day-of when they have someone to answer the phone.
(5)Jeff B.
Very accommodating on a busy night. The tuna tartare is excellent. I recommend the sweet potato ravioli also.
(5)Valentina T.
We love, love this place! Been there many times and enjoyed every minute. The olive oil they serve with the bread is the best ever! I always look forward to it. It is a very comfortable place to be. A bit less fussy and less expensive then Aspen, but the food and service are as good, if not better. We even considered having our wedding dinner there :) But then our plans changed and our wedding was not in Colorado. Cant wait to go back!

Tourist not welcome. I sat at the bar for 4 hours and I watched the tourist try to get tables and seats at the bar. On two occasions I watched the bartender give a seat to a local, even though the out of town people were patiently waiting. I saw the out of Towner protest but the managers said they didn't get involved. I then watched the manager tell tourist that they were full. Only to see them seat their friends who had no reservations. So to go further I started to watch the food come out of the kitchen. Again, saw the same pattern. So how was the food? Who cares? Spend your money where it is appreciated.

My wife and I were staying in Snowmass for our Honeymoon... long story short... weather was bad one night so we opted to stay in Snowmass and find something to eat in the village. I have spent a lot of time in the Snowmass/Aspen area and I can sayI have never been that impressed with any Italian fair (which always surprised me)... until now that is! Il Poggio was a warm comfortable restaurant. Our young server was very polite and gave good recommendations. The food was delicious! We sat and enjoyed three courses and some cocktails. The entire experience was good. This will be my new "go-to" restaurant when either my friends or family decide to stay away from the busy streets and restaurants in Aspen. We will be back to visit next time we make it back to the area!

Ate here both in the restaurant and in the bar many times, sometimes with a group, sometimes with hubby. Always enjoyed the food and the experience. Everyone of the group has always said their meal was delicious.
(5)Eugene W.
Very nice restaurant near the Westin Hotel. Great Italian food. Be sure to make reservations or you may have to eat at the bar.

Excellent Italian food, friendly staff.

The three of us started out with a delicious mini-pizza as an appetizer -- well- cooked, quality ingredients, timely presentation. Our waitperson was personable, knowledgable, friendly. Good start. Nice wines, reasonably priced, accompanied our dinner. The only glitch in the evening then occurred -- we hadn't yet finished our appetizer when the main dishes arrived -- a true no-no. The waitress apologized, but that didn't change the situation. The kitchen screwed up, not a good thing in a pricey and otherwise top-notch restaurant. We gobbled up the remaining pizza, and as our entree cooled down we began to eat it. Too fast.... But, the main dishes were wonderful -- tasty, very well cooked -- a very good pork chop with a cherry glaze, and short ribs cooked perfectly, with a very nice sauce on top. Good polenta, nice glazed carrots. Dessert was terrific -- chocolate cake, fresh, tasty, not too sweet. The only other negative was the room we ate in -- it was the bar/cafe room, devoid of any charm, and worse, much too noisy. Tablecloths, a few drapes, and lighting a little less glaring, and this would be terrific. We should have eaten in the main dining room! All in all, a very nice evening, not too expensive (but not cheap), and except for the noisy cafe room, and the way-too-fast service, we wouldn't hesitate to return.

We ate here one night on our honeymoon. Everything was really good, even the house olives which I normally do not like. We started with the pizzetta flatbread which was very good. I had the chicken breast with apricot and it was phenomenal. My wife had the rigatoni duck which needed a bit of salt. The chocolate zabaglione cherry tort and the creme brûlée were both fantastic. Friendly staff too.

This is a meal I will always remember. I was STARVING after a day of hiking. The waiter quickly caught on to the fact we were famished, and provided us with speedy service. We started with a spinach salad. It was big enough for the 3 of us to share and still have a decent amount. It had sauteed pear, cheese, and panceta. So good. We orded the Beef Tenderloin - which I HIGHLY recommend. It was served with gorgonozola potatoes, a portabella mushroom, and it had a red wine reduction sauce. The beef was cooked to a perfect medium, as I had requested. I love when they get the temperature of the meat just right. The meal was full of flavor, and it hasn't too heavy. We also shared the sweet potato ravioli which was freshly made and tasted fantastic. For dessert we shared the chocolate tort. It melted in my mouth. This restaurant is a must for a nice meal in Snowmass. It is a cute but still somewhat casual restaurant, with a friendly staff. The price is very good considering that most restaurants in the area are pricy.
(5)Christopher W.
We go here for dinner ever year we come to Snowmass. Food is always great! Get the sweet potato ravioli, amazing!
(5)Tom H.
Presidents day weekend and we expected a tough time finding a good place to eat near our hotel. Fortunately we found the bar at Il Pogio had space available at the bar. The fettucini Alfredo hit the spot for our ten year old son (who definitely hit it off with Matthew the bartender) and the Gnocchi with Veal tenderloin was excellent. My wife's Cavatapi had a nice slightly spicy tomato sauce. The finishing Cheesecake was great and the overall atmosphere was upscale without being pretentious.

This date never should've happened. No, really...we got stranded (I use the term sarcastically) in the Aspen area for an additional night due to normal weather in Chicago (ice/sleet mix, temps below 32, normal...right? Unfortunately). After getting booked into the Stonebridge Inn, being duped into watching Mail Order Wife (It's actually randomly funny/disturbing) and scrubbing the airport dust from my skin....we needed some real, non-terminal packaged, non-candy/snack food. And wine. And quickly. Luckily, the Snowmass Mall is just a few (uphill) blocks from Stonebridge....and it was a roaring 3-4 degrees, so off we went. With nothing in mind, we wandered about...and truly, despite frigid temp's fit to snap a witch's tittie...its a mountain, and its snowy, and its beautiful. After bypassing a few choices: Big Hoss Grill (we'd gone a few nights before), The Stew Pot (looked small), and a few other "bar" like places...my Spidey (Yelpy?) sense kicked in, and up a level there seemed to be the correct balance of dim lighting, happy people, good food, and shoes/shirt/tact required. Thank you, I showered...I'm not sitting in a bar. I mean, ok...I would, but this looks way better. After directions from a local as to how to reach this perch, and a few more sets of stairs, we finally reached Il Poggio. Really, perfect. The bar area is nice for a drink, too. Dress can be nice-ish, but it's also a ski mountain and there were guys with messy hair and snowpants. Come as you are, eat, drink...be merry. And after.... 3 glasses of cabernet 2 glasses of pinot grigio Fresh baked bread + olive oil Mushroom soup Sweet Potato Ravioli Pasta with sausage Tiramasu I was happy. And sleepy. And decided maybe the date should've happened....even if it wasn't supposed to.

Unforgettable. I ate here twice in 2010. Here is what I had that was most memorable: Arugula salad - Gorgonzola, strawberries, pecans, & balsamic glaze. Perfect! Gnocchi with veal tenderloin. Each bite was heavenly. Cupcake Ice cream. Best.thing.ever. :)
(5)Amy T.
Wow! Perfect panzenella salad. Fish cooked perfectly. My husband loved his pizza. The have a wood pizza oven. Excellent but not hovering service. But the very best thing was a rhubarb plum pie/ tart that was a dessert special. Seriously amazing!
(5)Sean P.
Took girl friend on nice relaxing weekend and ate here for a nice relaxing dinner. The ambiance is casual but as the place is small can get loud with large groups. Wine selection is ok, but didn't have the bottle I ordered. The arugula salad as an appetizer was great (and the waiter split for us before got to the table so that was nice). The main entrees we ordered we the Nocchi and I had the Tenderloin Fillet. I have to say the fillet was great cooked perfectly medium rare and the reduction sauce made this dish. The Nocchi after so many good reviews was a little bit of a let down but still ok (but just ok maybe hyped it up in my mind). The desert was perfect to split a peach pie with gelato and was a great ending. This place is a little spendy but should know that going in. Bought a bottle of wine and above for around $65-75 per person. Would definitely recommend for a nice date night or even a couples double date with casual atmosphere.

Such a cute place with good food! I had a pasta dish w/spicy chicken sausage which was sooo yummy! I also tried the white bean& potato soup which was also good. The only thing I wasn't raving over was the table side olive oil which wasn't soo fresh and tasty. I would go back again for sure!
(4)muffin b.
This place is a gem. The pizzas are delicious. The ravioli are yummy. I like that you can order half portions of pasta. The bread is also wonderful coming out of the pizza oven. Be sure when you hear the word pie not to be fooled. It's a dessert calzone sliced up. Not pie. However the chocolate mouse cake is superb as is their tiramisu. I will continue to return over and over. This is the best food in Snowmass.
(5)Paige G.
I enjoyed the Beef Tenderloin I had it cooked medium and it was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth! I would highly recommend this restaurant, the service was also speedy and very genuine!
(5)Erica W.
The staff at this restaurant were so rude! We first tried to get a reservation, only to be snubbed because we had a child with us. When we then tried to order take-out, we were told they were "too busy." Don't bother!!
(1)Laura R.
Very average food with very UNFRIENDLY waiter. Expensive!!!
(1)Christy T.
I came here with my dad on a ski trip a few years ago, and it was awesome. Everything was delicious-- I remember awesome pastas and salads and other small dishes to share. And outstanding desserts. Really, everything I had was good, and I left satisfied. It's a little bit out of the way, which I liked. No ridiculous crowds, though that may have changed. It's really warm and casual and friendly with outstanding food. Lovely.

Oh my, where do I start. This small, elegant Northern Italian Bistro, tucked away in the resort town of Snowmass, is everything that the Med in Boulder is not. It's quiet. It's somewhat spendy, though not truly outrageous. The clientele seems to be mainly the golf-tennis-and-executive set. The wine list will blow your doors off. It's worth every penny. I particularly urge you to go if money's no object or you're on an expense account so that you can really indulge in the higher end of their wine list... oh my god was I ever craving an Amarone I saw on there... but I digress. For starters, the menu is a simple affair offering pared-down, seasonal fare that makes the most of the freshest available ingredients. For my meal, the highlight was a crab, spinach and artichoke bisque, which was easily one of the best cream soups I've ever tasted. The mildly citrus-cumin seasoning was warm and bright but perfectly moderated, leaving enough room for the enormous, delicately flavoured lumps of crabmeat to stand on their own merit. The spinach salad was dressed in a light balsamic that didn't overwhelm the huge shavings of fresh asiago, the softly sweet blanched pears, and the gloriously thick strips of applewood-smoked bacon. The pasta entree I shared with my boyfriend was a heartily-seasoned robust red pepper and sausage cavatappi, with - get this - hand-made Italian sausage. The chef. Hand. Makes. his own sausage! And let me tell you it was absolutely glorious. We had a little difficulty selecting a wine to go with all the diverse tastes on the menu, but settled on a very fine, and not too spendy '05 Marshall Pinot Noir. For a moderately bargain-priced selection, it was stunning with the meal, and I'll for certain be tracking this one down at West End Wine. The wine steward at this restaurant is outstanding, though I failed to catch his name. The waiter was also charming, extremely knowledgeable about the menu, unobtrusive, and only after dropping off the check did he spark a conversation about bikes (he's a mountain biker, as are we, and he'd noticed my boyfriend's Hayes t-shirt) ... so to top it off, we got some great local trails recommendations! For a true, classic, sit-down haute cuisine experience, without being required to don a dinner jacket or heels, I strongly recommend you try this place out when you're in the Aspen area.

Everything from the food to the service was wonderful. Great authentic Italian (some not so authentic as well), also great wine choices. Highly recommended, and I will be back again. Get reservations though, even during the summer it is packed. We went on a Saturday night of course its going to be full. But from what I heard from the local folks, its always full.
(4)Isabel F.
Best restaurant in the village. Food is consistently good, service consistently efficient, the bread is wonderful, a little on the pricier side but worth it.
(5)Richard F.
The restaurant has great atmosphere and the staff are really nice. The food, however, is way overpriced and unsatisfactory. I ordered the lamb, which came highly recommended, but was sadly disappointed. It was cooked fine, but the cut of meat seemed to be of poor quality, and the pairing with other aspects of the dish seemed really odd. Not a good combination. Although the pasta sauce is spicy, it falls a bit flat of what one comes to expect from a higher-end Italian restaurant. On the plus side, the bread was OK and I didn't mind the wine. :/
(3)Sandra W.
Wonderful food but, we had reservations and we were seated in dark corner. We requested a table in open area but we were told they were all reserved . They filled all three tables in the dark corner while more prime seats stayed empty during the entire meal. Manager was not accommodating.
(3)Christy A.
VERY FRIENDLY SERVICE and GREAT FOOD! I feel terrible that I cannot remember the name of our waitress. She's from Ireland and has been there well over 15 years. Her service was timely, friendly, and professional. As I looked around it seemed that everyone was happy who worked there. The local AND tourist customers were all treated the same. Amazing food served with a true Italian flair. I tasted the lamb chops, duck and steak. All were created to perfection and had something different and yummy tied with it...like the Gorgonzola potatoes, sweet pea stuffed ravioli, etc. Even the olives and bread and olive oil (on the table) served at the beginning were tasty. Great views in the front of the restaurant. Also a nice Italian wine selection. You can eat like a FOODIE or eat kid friendly and have a slice of pizza. Great Italian place all around.
(4)Rick B.
Delicious truffle-buttery gnocchi was the highlight. Smooth mix of savory veal and silky smooth truffle butter with the occasional sweet explosion of cherry tomato. Appetizer was the spicy shrimp another delightful range of flavor. Three giant shrimp so big I had to cut them down to bite size. Serrano chili, avocado, bacon.. I mean, really, could it be much better? Others in my party had the beef tenderloin. I did try a bite and it was excellently prepared. The kids enjoyed pasta with red sauce with cheese pizza. Certainly, one of my favorite restaurants in Snowmass.
(5)Cameron C.
Definite destination to get excellent Italian food! The steak here is very good.
(5)Richard G.
the best in the Village!!! it is our first stop...always a winner...food and service!!!
(5)Mariah C.
During a visit to Aspen last month for a long weekend, this was, by far, my favorite meal. For starters, this place just feels warm and inviting. It has a quintessentially Aspen vibe of fancy/cozy. You'll be able to order truffles and fine wines, but you'll be perfectly at home in an oversized sweater, or if you decide to bring along your kids. For starters, our party shared a delicious plate of bresaola, some warm homemade bread, and a simple plate of olives. For my meal, I had a pasta with avocado, mozzarella and tomatoes. It was perfectly satisfying. My partner had a fish entree, from which I stole several bites, because it was superb. The less adventurous members of our party ordered the pizzas, which were rustic looking and tasty. We enjoyed our meal with a divine barolo, and I felt like I was enjoying a bit of Italy in Snowmass. All in all, this was simple, good food. 5 stars.
(5)Greg R.
A small place wtih outstanding food in the heart of Snowmass Village. I had the Duck Confit Rigitoni, and it was excellent !
(5)John D.
Lost our reservation that we made in mid December and would not accommodate us. Have lost our business for winter and summer.
(1)Irene W.
When I go to the mountains, I want hearty food and that usually means pasta. And Il Poggio fulfills that urge with class. Tucked away on the top part of the Snowmass Mall, I was worried that this place (like a lot of places in a resort) would be pretentious, expensive, and have bad service. But it was reasonable and the service and food were fantastic. The gamberi (jumbo shrimp with grapfruit and arugala) and gnocchi with veal tenderloin were fantastic. It's worth making a reservation on the weekend but even without one, there's plenty of room at the bar for a drink while you wait for a table. This place is definitely worth checking out if you're ever out here.
(5)Justin P.
This is a must try if you are ever in the Snowmass area. It is a little on the pricey side, but the food is fantastic and the portions are moderate size.
(4)A R.
The concierge at the Viceroy recommended this place for dinner and we were very pleased. This romantic spot is right in Snowmass mall, and offers a wide selection of hearty pastas with fresh crusty bread. Our server was prompt and polite. She started us out with Rosemary foccacia and petite nicoise olives warmed up with delicious herbs. We ordered appetizer portions because we'd heard about their big portions, and were glad that we did because it was more than enough plus my wife had leftovers. Instead of veal, my wife had shrimp with her gnocchi. The gnocchi was buttery smooth served tossed in a light sauce with asparagus and grape tomatoes. I had the shrimp fettuccine which was well seasoned with basil pesto and roasted red peppers plus the fresh grape tomatoes just made all the flavors pop. They also have a separate menu of brick oven pizzas all baked in the stylish copper brick oven in the front kitchen. I highly recommend this place if you're in Snowmass.
(5)Joey S.
Il Poggio is a great Italian restraunt for a snowmass/aspen area. It's fairly pricy ($15-30), but they have a wood burning pizza oven that's awesome for their pizzas. They have a fettuccini lemon shrimp dish that can't be beat. They bring you great bread and olive oil and the service is decent.
(5)Alex D.
Skip the fine dining and eat at the bar. The space is warm and inviting; the Italian food is casual and comforting. Great wine list at decent prices. Ski hard, go hungry, relax, and enjoy.
(4)Jen P.
Delicious meal, attentive service, nice atmosphere, what's not to like? The food is consistently above average. Everyone in our party of 7 was happy with all of their courses. I had a spicy shrimp salad which featured three very large prawns and was quite filling. My entree was a halibut special. It was a very generous portion and I still managed to eat every bite. I highly recommend Il Poggio and I will visit this restaurant on every future Aspen/Snowmass visit.
(5)Kris O.
We ate at Il Poggio this past week and had experienced good dining service. We had a reservation and the hostess was very friendly. We had a patient waiter and he was a good sport b/c part of our party came late and we ordered in a "rolling" way. He was a bit distant, but got the job done. Toward the end of the even he was a little less attentive, but our needs had slowed down by then and it wasn't a bit deal. The food was good, but folks had different opinions on the quality. My husband ate the mussels and the swordfish and while it tasted good going down, he did experience "intestinal distress" that night. I had a beet salad and ravioli, both of which were yummy, and did not have any issues. The green salad was large and everyone liked that. All in all (except for my husband) we had a good experience. The only thing was the cost. It was expensive. However, one cannot expect to save money eating out in a ski town. One oddity -- my Dad and I ordered the same glass of wine, but were charge two difference prices. The price difference was only $.30, but given the attitude of the waiter and the size of the bill, I felt foolish asking for a correction or explanation. We also thought the swordfish special was overpriced ($32.50) and we made the mistake of not asking the price before ordering. I hate it when special are crazy expensive. All in all, this was a fine restaurant and they were sweet in putting a candle into the ice cream for my son's birthday. There was not child's menu or things for them to do, but they food could be made plenty child friend and I saw lots of families eating there.
(3)Esther C.
Great food. I had a special...salmon with a pineapple salsa, snap peas and rosemary potatoes. It was so flavorful and all cooked to perfection. My friend had the sweet potato goat cheese raviolis and they too were amazing. So glad we stumbled upon this place!
(5)Michele A.
Just ate here on 7/26. Did not have a reservation, but got there at the right time-it filled up quick. Really liked the warm olives brought to the table. I requested my 'Dustino' pizza to be made w/chicken sausage, they were pleased to accommodate me. A bottle of wine, 2 salads & two pizzas, $95. Very pleased.
(5)Mark A.
Best food in Aspen Snowmass mall. The only place you should eat if your looking for more than a burger. Everyone in our party of 9 loved their food. Fish was awesome. Pasta was awesome. Duck was awesome. I highly recommend eating here. If I am ever staying at snowmass again, this may be the only place I dine at.
(5)Yu H.
This is a nice restaurant nestled in a corner of Snowmass mall with a romantic ambience. It's a lot larger than initially meets the eye with several separate but connected dining areas. We were seated in a nice quite area in the back of the restaurant. The menu is Italian-based as expected and centered around several pasta dishes in addition to meat and fish entrees. I had one of their specials of the night, the steelhead trout with a wasabi crust served with potatoes and broccolini. It was well-flavored but I didn't taste much of the wasabi crust that was advertised. My partner loved their broccolini which was cooked and seasoned just right. She had the fettuccine with grilled shrimp which had a very nice spice to it. I do wish they had left a little more sauce on the plate since the pasta was a tad on the dry side without it. The portions are average and may not get you full by itself if you're famished and probably better when eaten with an appetizer and perhaps a desert.
(4)r g.
I'm ripping off a previous review, but the bottom line is that this is a 3 star place in any major city and a 4 star place by virtue of the location/lack of competition. We had a wonderful server, but the food was -- at the price -- nothing special.
(4)Saleh A.
I visited this restaurant a few days ago and as you can see, it really deserved a good review. The place was pretty nice. All the food was good, especially the fungi pizza which was great to say the least. Enjoy.
(4)Chris D.
Dinner was outstanding! Had the mozzarella/smoked cherry appetizer and Filet for dinner. Truly a great find.
(5)Candi D.
Love the food, the atmosphere, and most of all our fav bartender - Matthew always makes it a fun meal! Visit to Il Poggio not the same unless we have a meal at bar w Matthew!
(5)Downtownbaby T.
What excellent service--our waiter was very helpful, charming and made us feel welcome. He was invisible yet personable when present. The location can't be beat when staying at the Westin! Their pasta seemed fresh and they had very interesting specials that evening. Their sliced bread and cheesy focaccia was great--though I really dislike cold bread. I prefer my bread straight out of the oven or warm at the least. The olive oil on your table needs to be tasted--it had such a lovely citrusy flavor to it that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Just our luck, peaches are in season and they decided to bake a pie for dessert. That was single handedly one of the best peach pies I've ever had. Clearly using fresh peaches--not canned, and the unexpectedly thin crispy crust to envelope it all. This place is great, would go back when staying in the village. Everyone loved their meal but I felt mine was bland. Their tomato sauce is delicious, though. While this may be a 4-star for Aspen, in Los Angeles this is probably a 3 star at best.
(3)Jillian D.
We went here for NYE and had the best time! We sat at the bar and the bartender was so nice. The food was beyond good, burrata appetizer is a must and if you like mushroom pizza I highly recommend it. All around a great experience!
(5)Roselin S.
One of the best restaurants in Snowmass Village. The service is wonderful, all fresh ingredients-from the homemade bread to the pasta. I had the fettuccini with shrimp, with a bit of a kick and it was just perfect. I got a taste of my hubby's short rib over polenta, and it was delish! If you're in Snowmass, make reservations upon arrival or 7 days out to secure a spot at this great find.
(4)Dana S.
Pretty tasty, but you don't go to Aspen for the food. Goat cheese/sweet potato ravioli was a little too sweet for my taste and I could have made the side of cannelini beans better myself (too watery, tasteless - much better with the addition of tableside olive oil and mashed a little with your fork). But oh, that pizza! I talked my husband into ordering the PLP and it was crispy, black bubbly heaven. We sat near the pizza oven, a little too warm inside the rrant but I understand space is at a premium in this high dollar town. Reasonable costs for the pizza and sides, ravioli a little too pricey for what you got. We enjoyed the super green, grassy olive oil that served as our appetizer along with bread and rosemary warmed olives. Overall, I recommend this place - order the pizza. Closest to Italian ones in the US second only to 2 Amys Pizza in DC.
